Class Instructor: Shamsher Singh

Beginning his training at age 7, Shamsher has been playing Tabla for over 17 years.
Some of Shamsher's earlier teachers in New Jersey include Bhai Binod Singh and Pandit Paramjyoti K.
For the past 5 years Shamsher has studied with Sandeep Swadia and Aditya Kalyanpur, both of whom are disciples of Ustad Allah Rakha Khan Ji (Punjab Gharana).
Shamsher has performed at many small concerts in NJ and in the Boston area, where he did his undergraduate studies. He has taught students of varying levels and enjoys sharing this art form with others who are interested in music. Shamsher moved to South Florida earlier this year and continues his Tabla practice and training through regular workshops with Ustad Zakir Hussain.
